Where do I start?+
From the home page you create a new skin or open your garage to pick up a saved one. If you had one open recently, there is a shortcut back to it.
Where do saved skins go?+
To the garage, each with a real preview of the car. From every card you can open it in the editor, rename it, export the game-ready zip, duplicate it or delete it, without going through the editor.
How do I colour the body?+
With the Livery tool. Colour for the base tint, Texture to add patterns or images, Material to set how matte or glossy the paint is and how metallic it looks.
What about the wheels?+
They have their own tool, with colour, texture and material independent from the body.
What about all the black parts around the body?+
Those are the details: suspension, wheel arches, side air intakes, front wing, rear diffuser and the central strip under the car. They have their own tool, with their own colour and texture. Leave them alone and they stay the usual dark grey.
How do decals work?+
You apply one from the catalogue and then place it: move it back and forth, up and down, resize, rotate and mirror it. You can paint it any colour or keep the original ones. The lock button stops the car from spinning while you work.
Why does my car already have lights on?+
Every skin starts with this car model's standard lighting — numbers, rear wing, headlights — because that is what the game shows anyway. The Lights tool changes their colour and intensity. Importing a skin with its own lights replaces the defaults.
How do I get the skin into the game?+
With the Export tool: it builds the zip in the format Trackmania expects. Download it and load it as a custom skin following the game instructions. The same zip can be loaded back here to resume a skin.
Do I need to sign in?+
No. Without signing in the editor works fully, but skins stay in this computer's browser. Signing in with your Trackmania account copies them to the cloud too, so you find them from any machine.
Can I see other people's skins?+
Yes, in the Community section: every public skin, which you can rate and copy into your garage to use or edit. Yours stay private until you publish them, from the toggle on the garage card.
